 Student Performances

For two days in April, students from hundreds of miles around gather at UW-Eau Claire to strut their jazz stuff. Jazz ensembles from schools large and small perform in front of an audience to build their performance experience. Adjudicators provide constructive critique and guide them to becoming better musicians and ensembles.

 Clinics & Master Classes

The festival is a conduit to continued learning about jazz. Clinics and master classes are held throughout the two days on the UW-Eau Claire campus and are free/open to the public. World-renowned guest artists, professional musicians, and guest adjudicators share their expertise with students, directors, and community members on various elements of music and performance.

Headliner Concerts

 Sponsored by JAMF Software

 52nd Street

 Sponsored by Royal Credit Union

Friday night at the Eau Claire Jazz Festival celebrates the true culture of jazz as Downtown Eau Claire transforms into a jazz nightclub scene. 52nd Street is a re-creation of the historic 52nd Street of New York City, where jazz greats like Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, and Louis Armstrong sat in with different ensembles in a variety of nightclubs, simply because they loved to play jazz. We have put together a collection of our favorite local artists and you might just see a few national guests stop in from time to time.

Don't forget to add the Eau Claire Jazz Festival to your calendar for next year in April each year!
