Director Questions

  1. How do I register my band? How much does it cost to register my band?

    • Registering your band can be done here. This link can also be found under the Register tab at www.eauclairejazz.com. Pricing is as follows: Big Bands - $275, Combos - $200, Vocal Ensembles - $275

  2. How do I edit my registration info?

    • To edit your info after you have registered, log in here. If you are unable to log in or have further questions, please email us at info@eauclairejazz.com or call at 715-836-4092 for assistance.

  3. When do we know when my band performs?

    • As the festival approaches, a schedule will be emailed to all directors. This will include information on warm up and performance times and rooms. 

  4. Where do I park my bus?

    • On Friday, April 24 of the Festival, we will have parking passes available for any lot on the UW-Eau Claire campus. Other parking options will be nearby at Carson Park. On Saturday, April 25, parking will be available in any lot on the UW-Eau Claire campus.

  5. How do I purchase tickets for my students for the Concert Series and Jazz Crawl?

    • Group tickets for the Concert Series can be purchases seperatly from registering by calling or purchasing tickets online through The Pablo Center at the Confluence.

    • For Jazz Crawl, please contact the Festival Director.

  6. Are there venues on Jazz Crawl that are appropriate for my students?

    • Yes! Stay tuned for a full lineup of venues in early spring 2020.

  7. Where do I go if I have a questions during the festival?

    • Information desks will be located in The Pablo Center at the Confluence, Davies Center, and Centennial Hall with staff to assist you with any questions you may have.

  8. How do I look at my info after I have registered?

    • To look at your info after you have registered, log in here. If you are unable to log in or have further questions, please email us at info@eauclairejazz.com or call at 715-836-4092 for assistance.

  9. What do I do if I forgot my log in?

    • If you have forgotten your log in, you may resend it to your email address using the “Get Help” button located under the forgotten password option. If you have forgotten your log in email, please send an email to info@eauclairejazz.com or call at 715-836-4092 for assistance.

  10. Questions about forms?

  11. Where can I take my band to eat?

    • Great places to eat in Eau Claire include: The Lakely, The Informalist, Acoustic Cafe, Houligan’s, Pizza Plus, Mona Lisa's, The Nucleus, Dooley’s Pub, El Patio, Milwaukee Burger, Mogie’s Pub, Azul Tequila, and Stella Blues.   12. What is the difference between competitive and non-competitive in the instrumental division?

  • Each group performs the same number of pieces.
  • The groups are given verbal and written feedback from the adjudicators.

  • The only differences are:

Will not be compared against other schools

Non-competitive will have a minimum of two judges

Competitive has to do a sight-reading

Student and Parent Questions

  1. How much are tickets for the headliner concerts on Friday and Saturday?

    • Headline concerts will cost $35 for adults and $15 for students.

  2. Are there venues on Jazz Crawl that are appropriate for children?

    • Yes! Stay tuned for an updated schedule in early spring 2020.

  3. Where can I park?

    • On Friday, April 24 of the Festival, parking will not be available on the UW-Eau Claire campus lots, but there is plenty of free street parking within blocks of the campus. On Saturday, April 25, parking will be available in any lot on the UW-Eau Claire campus.

  4. Where do I purchase tickets for the Concert Series?

    • Tickets to the headliner concerts can be purchased through The Pablo Center at the Confluence.

  7. How do I find out when my child is performing?

    • Through the Eau Claire Jazz Festival app, or printed programs that will be distributed via this website or paper copies weekend-of.

  8. Where do you buy a wristband for Jazz Crawl? How much does a wristband cost?

    • Wristbands for Jazz Crawl will be sold at three different tents along Barstow Street. There will also be a pre-sale, stay tuned for details. Wristbands cost $10 each and will give you unlimited access to each venue all night.

  9. Are the clinics and student performances open to the public?

    • Yes! Clinics and student performances are open to anyone to attend.
