CONGRATULATIONS:

Memorial High School Jazz 1 Goes To New York!

Congratulations to Jazz 1 for being named to Essentially Ellington for the 7th time!!! The band will be going to New York in May to compete with 14 other bands from around the country in the “Super Bowl” of high school jazz fests! Congratulations also to Katie Johnston for winning the EE writing contest; 2nd & 3rd place students were from Washington and California. Katie will be reading her story on stage in New York City!

NORTH H.S. PRESENTS WISCONSIN JAZZ COMPOSERS CONCERT:

Monday, March 8 at 7 p.m. at the North H.S. Auditorium

Featuring North High School Jazz I Ensemble and the Freshman Jazz Ensemble and under the direction of Mr. Eugene Power.  The North High School Jazz Band will premiere Ed Mudrak’s new composition, Malamute.

In addition, they will perform Timeless Vision, by local composer, Dennis Luginbill and Riverscape composed by Fred Sturm.

The concert is free and open to the public.
